Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets standards for how all users, including Candidates, Employers, Vendors, and
Visitors—must conduct themselves when using the Mumly Platform. This AUP works alongside the Mumly Terms of Use,
Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and all other Mumly policies.
By accessing or using the Mumly Platform, you agree to follow this AUP.
General Principles
All users must:
– Act lawfully and ethically.
– Treat others respectfully.
– Protect the safety and wellbeing of families and children.
– Use the Platform only for legitimate purposes.
– Follow UK laws including safeguarding, employment law, consumer rights, and data protection (UK GDPR).
Prohibited Activities
Users must not engage in any of the following:
3.1 Illegal or Harmful Behaviour
– Breaking any UK law.
– Posting or sharing illegal content.
– Encouraging or promoting harmful behaviour.
– Attempting fraud or financial misconduct.
3.2 Abuse, Harassment & Misconduct
– Threatening, harassing, or bullying any person.
– Discriminatory behaviour (race, gender, disability, religion, age, etc.).
– Posting defamatory, hateful, or abusive messages.
– Stalking or inappropriate contact.
3.3 Misrepresentation
Users must not:
– Create fake accounts.
– Impersonate any individual or business.
– Post misleading, false, or manipulated information.
– Apply for jobs or submit listings dishonestly.
3.4 Data Misuse
Users must not:
– Harvest, scrape, copy or mine data from the Platform.
– Use bots, crawlers, scripts, or automated tools.
– Share personal data of others without permission.
– Store or process data unlawfully.
3.5 Unauthorised Commercial Activity
Users must not:
– Promote unrelated products or services.
– Post ads without permission.
– Engage in pyramid schemes, MLMs, or recruitment scams.
3.6 Technical Misuse
Users must not:
– Introduce viruses or harmful code.
– Attempt to bypass Platform security.
– Attempt to disrupt or overload systems.
– Reverse engineer or copy Platform components.
Content Standards
Users must only upload content that is:
– lawful,
– accurate,
– child-safe,
– respectful,
– free from harmful or explicit material.
Prohibited content includes:
– explicit or adult content,
– violence or abuse,
– promoting unsafe behaviour,
– misinformation,
– copyrighted materials without permission.
Safeguarding & Child Protection
Because Mumly serves families and parents:
– Any safeguarding concerns may be escalated to authorities.
– Users must not post unsafe advice about children.
– Users working with children must hold proper DBS checks.
– Any risk to a child or vulnerable adult will result in immediate action.
Communications Between Users
When messaging through Mumly:
– Communications must remain professional and respectful.
– Users must not send spam, threats, or harassment.
– Candidate–Employer or Vendor–Customer conversations must stay relevant to the service offered.
Enforcement Actions
Cookies may collect:
– IP address (anonymised where possible)
– device identifiers
– browsing behaviour
– time spent on pages
– ad interaction
– preferences and filters
We do not collect your name, address or other personal identifiers through cookies unless you voluntarily provide them.
Rejecting Cookies
Mumly may take one or more of the following actions when this AUP is breached:
– Content removal.
– Temporary restrictions.
– Account suspension.
– Permanent account termination.
– Reporting behaviour to Employers, Vendors, or authorities.
– Legal action where appropriate.
Mumly reserves full discretion to act where misuse or risk is identified.

To report a breach of this AUP:

Provide as much detail as possible, including timestamps, screenshots, and links if available.
Liability
Users are responsible for their own behaviour on the Platform. Mumly accepts no liability for losses arising from:
– user misconduct,
– third-party actions,
– inaccurate listings or communications.
Updates to This Policy
Mumly may update this AUP at any time to align with new features, legal requirements, or safety standards.
Continued use of the Platform indicates acceptance of updated policies.

Purpose: keep Mumly safe, family-friendly, and lawful.
General Expectations: respect, truthful info, lawful use, secure accounts, children’s safety.
Prohibited: illegal acts, misrepresentation, harassment, child safety violations, inappropriate content, tech abuse, spam.
Reviews: must be honest and based on real experience.
Vendors: accuracy, insurance, safeguarding, confidentiality, no fee-bypass.
Employers: fair, lawful, non-discriminatory, GDPR-compliant.
Candidates: accurate CVs, professional conduct.
Community spaces: be kind; no spam or self-promo without approval.
Actions: warnings, removal, suspension, reporting.
